Surprise, surprise but 80’s is becoming domestic. It was actually before the mister but I’ve started looking at cookbooks and I love them. It’s some recipes I have no desire on trying and then it’s others that I can’t wait to try. I got my recipe for strawberry pudding out of this cookbook that I have so I’m eager to keep trying new recipes.

I came across a link for a free Black History Month Cookbook with recipes by celebrity chef G. Garvin. This free cookbook is being offered by COKE rewards. Check out this link

In order to recieve the cookbook you just have to enter in 3 mycoke rewards and the promo code. The Promotion code is blackhistory. Luckily, for me I work with a recycle nut who is on me about recycling. Needless to say she put a lil recycle bin right by her door just for me. This time recycling worked in my favor. I politely went to that recycle bin and retrieved my coke bottles from last week and entered in the codes and now I have a FREE cookbook on the way…I’m excited… 🙂

Does anyone have any great cookbook recommendations??????

Oh my god! I didn’t even read this post before replying to the other one. Lol!

So I told you there about a book I received as a gift: Sylvia’s Family Soul Food cookbook. I didn’t know much about Soul Food… I had my interpretation of Mac n Cheese but that was about it. But Sylvia’s book gave me inspirations and I have done some tasty Fried Chicken etc… So get the book, it will be a great investment! 🙂

Thanks LP….I’ve been on Amazon looking at cookbooks today…I’ll probably order a few of them including the one that you’ve mentioned…

My mom is an awesome cook and everybody loves all of her recipes…Maybe I’ll see if she can jot a few of her recipes down for me… Because she hates that I DON’T COOK…. And she would probably get a kick out of me finally getting in the kitchen because the only thing I contribute to our family dinners are the devil eggs. (which are the bomb by the way) I finally upgraded from bringing the punch…LOL

I love cooking!! Well let me rephrase that, I love eating good food, so as a result I love cooking. LOL!

I have a couple of cookbooks, but I also print alot of recipes from the internet and put them in my cookbook binder.

I just did a search for the cookbook LP mentioned at the library and they have it! So I’ll be picking it up after work. WHOOO HOOOO!!!
